LDRS 41 AT THE RICHARD BONG RECREATIONAL AREA IN WISCONSIN
Beat Cancer Rocket
The BEAT CANCER ROCKET was at the ground breaking of the MARSHFIELD DICKINS0N CANCER CENTER. It was signed by the staff at the hospital and in the current cancer unit to thank and honor the staff them for the great cancer care I have received through battles with stage 2, 3 and 4 cancer. It was also in the cancer unit for patients to sign to honor them with its flight. At LDRS people were able to write names of people that have fought cancer to honor them. This was a very emotional flight for myself and so many of the people at the event. The rocket is full of names from people from all over the country. Pictures were taken time and time again of the rocket, people by the rocket and the name they wrote on. They would then send the pictures to the person they knew undergoing or had had undergone cancer treatments. That was s special to see time and time again. Special thanks to out to Eric, Justin and a the Cayemberg family for their help at the pad and recovering the rocket. It was 12'7" tall and a little over one hundred pounds at launch, with out the help coming from friends this launch would not of been possible
